In consultation with a range of regional partners and the South East Trusts, the South East regional team have developed the following 'thematic' areas of focus for the development of regional programmes:
Contribution to the Development of Regional Strategy and Policy
Groundwork's experience as an organisation that finds practical solutions at a local level means that it is often invited to feed this back up to inform strategies of its key partners.

Sub-Regional Initiatives
Thames Gateway
Groundwork SE represents Groundwork on multi-agency partnerships such as 'Greening the Gateway' and is developing pan-gateway programmes such as 'Children in the Gateway'.
Housing Growth Areas
Groundwork SE is also overseeing a development study in the Milton Keynes Housing Growth Area, looking at the opportunities for community dialogue, alongside the formal local authority consultation process.

A number of professional services are available at a regional level and are delivered by a combination of regional office and specialist trust staff working together.

Landscape Architecture - Groundwork has specialised in combining good landscape design of public spaces with community development and environmental considerations.

We also support business communities by helping them improve their practices, their premises and the local environment at the same time.
